A stuffer is bolted to a partition rib in the integral crosshead guide and distance piece on the standard unit. The stuffer houses three oil wiper rings which prevent frame oil from being carried out of the frame along the piston rod. These rings also reduce the possibility of cylinder gases or cylinder lubricating oil (if used) entering the frame and possibly contaminating the frame lubricating oil.
